Mark Evans Named Managing Director of Investments for Ascent Private Capital Management of U.S. Bank in Minneapolis.


MINNEAPOLIS (Dec. 8, 2014) - U.S. Bank Wealth Management, ranked among the top 25 U.S. wealth managers,* announced today that Mark Evans, CFA®, has been named managing director of investments for Ascent Private Capital Management of U.S. Bank in Minneapolis.

In his new role, Evans provides investment advice to clients of Ascent's Minneapolis office and is responsible for understanding the factors that drive economic and capital-market trends and performance to help clients take advantage of appropriate investment opportunities and mitigate risk.

Evans has more than 19 years of leadership experience in the financial services industry and joins Ascent from Slocum, where he served as a principal of the firm. At Slocum, Mark provided investment advice to institutional investors and communicated all elements of investment program design and monitoring to the appropriate governing bodies. Prior to that, he was a manager at Deloitte, where his client duties included planning, supervision, review, reporting, development of financial statements and budgeting/staffing of engagements for the audit, business valuation and dispute consulting units of the firm. He was also selected to participate in Deloitte's Global Development Program, which he completed in Luxembourg.

Evans has an MBA from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and a bachelor's degree from St. John's University in Minnesota. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation and also served as a certified public accountant (CPA).
